Two people, including a 17-year-old boy, died in two separate road accidents in the capital on Sunday night. The cluster bus crushed the bike rider Gopi Kumar (24) in Timarpur area. He died on the spot. The second incident took place in East Delhi’s Madhu Vihar area. Here two teenagers who went out to eat momos on a bike were hit by a DTC bus. Rishu (17) died in the accident while his 14-year-old cousin was badly injured. In both the cases, the police have seized the bus and arrested the drivers. On Monday, the police handed over the dead bodies of both of them to their relatives after the post-mortem.
Gopi Kumar, who died in the accident in North Delhi’s Timarpur, lived with his family on the fourth floor of Sonia Vihar. He used to work in a showroom in Peeragarhi area. He was returning home on his bike on Sunday night. Meanwhile, he reached near the truck parking near Timarpur police station. The cluster bus that came from behind hit him head-on. Gopi is badly injured in the accident. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Police took the bus into custody and arrested the driver Mohit (26), a resident of Sonepat Haryana. The second accident took place in Madhu Vihar. Here the DTC bus hit two minor brothers riding a bike. Rishu (17) died in the accident. While a 14-year-old minor resident of West Vinod Nagar was seriously injured. He told that he had gone out to eat momos with Rishu.
