There was a cyber attack on the server of AIIMS from two e-mail IDs of Hong Kong. The IP addresses of both the e-mails have been traced. The role of China is coming to the fore in this. This has been revealed in the investigation of Intelligence Fusion Strategic Operations (IFSO) of Special Cell of Delhi Police. Delhi Police is taking the help of Gujarat Science University in this. As soon as the information about the case is received, the IFSO team has left for Surat and Mumbai. Senior officials of the Special Cell said that the cyber attacker has not yet demanded any money in the case. While till now there was talk of demanding Rs 200 crore from the cyber attackers.
There was a cyber attack on the country’s prestigious medical institute AIIMS on 23 November. Delhi Police and other security agencies were initially treating it as a computer incident. The antivirus license of all AIIMS computers had expired. Four servers of AIIMS, two application servers, one database and one backup server have been affected in the attack. After registering the case, the investigation is being done by the IFSO of the Special Cell. Investigation has revealed that cyber attack has been done on AIIMS server from two mail ids.
