The route of Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra could not be decided even on Thursday. Two rounds of meeting between Congress office bearers and Delhi Police officers remained inconclusive. However, during this time there were indications that Congress officials would agree to take the yatra from Ashram Chowk via Ring Road.
The state in-charge has told the police officers that now the All India Congress Committee (AICC) will decide the route. Now there will be a meeting again between the police and Congress officials on Friday. A meeting of district police officers of the level of deputy commissioner of police with state in-charge Narendra Nath and other officials was held at 24-Akbar Road on Thursday at 12 noon.
DCP of traffic police, district DCP and police officers of security unit were involved in this. In the meeting, the police asked the Congress officials to take out the yatra through Ring Road, but nothing could be decided in the meeting. Another meeting was held at 5 pm under the supervision of Special Commissioner of Police (Intelligence) Garima Bhatnagar, but this too remained inconclusive. State in-charge Narendra Nath said that now AICC will decide about the route. At the same time, traffic police officials say that the preparations are complete.

Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Uday Bhan will hand over the national flag to Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Anil Kumar in the presence of Rahul Gandhi to enter the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Haryana to Delhi at 6 am on December 24 at Badarpur border. Bharat Jodo Yatra will start from Badarpur border till Red Fort. The yatra will halt at Ashram Chowk for a two-hour rest and then leave for the Red Fort.
