The death toll in the accident in Chitli Kabar area of Old Delhi’s Chandni Mahal has now gone up to three. In the early hours of Wednesday, a 10-day-old newborn boy died during treatment at LNJP Hospital. Police handed over the dead body to the family after the post-mortem. Later, 10-day-old Juhan was handed over to the cemetery at Delhi Gate near the graves of his mother and brother.
Chandni Mahal police station is trying to find out the reason behind the accident. A police team visited the spot on Wednesday. On the other hand, the condition of the newborn girl and her brother in the hospital is still critical. His treatment continues.
Rukhsar (30) and three-year-old son Aliyar Qureshi were killed after the accident in the early hours of Tuesday. The condition of 10-day-old twin newborns Juhan and Juhaniya and another Subhan remained critical in the accident. All of them were undergoing treatment at LNJP Hospital. Juhan died at around 4 am on Wednesday.
Juhan was seriously injured after being buried under the debris. Now the family is praying for the safety of the rest of the children. Let us inform that the roof of a room in a house located in Chitli Kabar had fallen at around 4.00 am on Tuesday. Rukhsar was sleeping there with her five children. In the accident, Rukhsar and all her children got buried under the debris.
Rukhsar and her three-year-old son Aliyar Qureshi died on the spot in the accident, while the rest of the children Subhan (8), Rehman (5) and ten-day-old Juhaan and Juhania were undergoing treatment. One child died on Wednesday. Rukhsar’s father Afzal, mother Chaman and husband Afsar are in bad condition after the accident. The rest of the people escaped unhurt in the accident.
