There was a lot of uproar on the third day of the Delhi Assembly. The BJP wanted a discussion in the House on the matter of pollution and corruption in the Yamuna, which was rejected by the Speaker, while Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia termed the Lieutenant Governor as the head of the clan. On this, the BJP got agitated and alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party is bent on constantly undermining democratic norms and by using derogatory words towards the Lieutenant Governor, the Aam Aadmi Party has proved itself to be anarchist.

In the first two days also there was uproar outside the House. While the BJP created a ruckus by demanding a discussion on corruption and pollution, the Aam Aadmi Party attacked the Lt Governor and the BJP, calling it unconstitutional to prevent teachers from being allowed to go for training abroad. Arvind Kejriwal even said that the Lieutenant Governor has no right to interfere in the working of an elected government.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia alleged in the House that democratic norms were not followed in appointing nominated councilors in the Municipal Corporation. He said that being the Lieutenant Governor, he can go by the directions of the Central Government, but he has gone beyond that and behaved like a clan chieftain. He alleged that they are not caring about any tradition and law and are only working on the behest of the Centre. He accused the Lt Governor of acting like a ‘clan chieftain’, a charge the BJP hit out at.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Sisodia invoked the Constitution, saying the country is run according to the Constitution, which clearly demarcates the functions of the Lieutenant Governor and that of an elected government. Where the constitution is silent, democratic traditions show the way to the guardian of the constitution. But in the context of Delhi, all these things have been put on hold.

AAP is a chaotic party – BJP

BJP leader Neha Shalini Dua said that Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal has been calling himself an anarchist person. Such incidents have happened many times in the past, through which the Aam Aadmi Party has proved itself to be chaotic. He said that by not allowing the councilors appointed by the Lieutenant Governor to take oath in the Municipal Corporation and now by using derogatory words for the Lieutenant Governor, the Aam Aadmi Party has given proof that it and its leader Arvind Kejriwal are anarchists. He said that Kejriwal should focus on running the government according to democratic norms.

You are involved in corruption – Congress

Congress leader Chaudhary Anil Kumar said that bundles of notes were waved in the Delhi Assembly by an Aam Aadmi Party MLA. This shows that the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party are completely involved in corruption and bribe is being taken fiercely for public works. Earlier a similar thing had come to the fore during the excise case where the government neglected the public interest for its own benefit. He said that due to corruption, the Aam Aadmi Party has no right to remain in power.
