LG serious on the demand of the presiding officer
The presiding officer of the last meeting of the House, Satya Sharma, in a letter to the Lieutenant Governor’s office, had demanded deployment of more security forces for the next meeting. He had apprised the Lt Governor about the whole incident of assault and vandalism in the House, as well as made a video footage of it available to the Governor. It is being told that Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has taken serious note of this demand of the presiding officer.
LG has to take the decision on the meeting of the house
Senior officials of the corporation related to the mayoral election say that all the formalities have been completed from their side. It is expected that the House meeting will be held between January 27-30. But only Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has to take the final decision on the House meeting.
