The Delhi State Election Commission has banned the release of exit polls and other media surveys for the corporation elections till the voting for the Gujarat Assembly elections is over. The Commission has taken this decision on the orders of the Election Commission.

The Delhi State Election Commission says that voting for the Gujarat assembly elections will be held on December 5, while voting for the MCD elections will be held on December 4. The commission is of the view that any survey can influence the result of bye-elections to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and to the Legislative Assemblies in several states.
