Bureaucrat-turned-entrepreneur Dr. Neh Srivastava has been arrested by the Economic Offenses Wing on charges of cheating. He is accused of duping investors of Rs 50 crore by showing him the dream of a house. The accused has been an Under Secretary in the Government of India.

Branch officials said that in the year 2020, Dr. Bacha Lal, a resident of Jhilmil Colony, had given a complaint of cheating and fraud against the Central Secretariat Service Officer Society (CSSOS) in the Economic Offenses Wing. Told in the complaint that he wanted to buy a house in Delhi. A friend told about the Central Secretariat Service Officers Society (CSSOS) of Dwarka. After this he met the President of the Society, Neh Srivastava and other members. The society then told that it is providing flats under the land pooling policy. The flat will be given to the officers.
In the complaint, Dr. Bachha Lal has said that at that time Neh Srivastava had told that he was in touch with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the DDA.

A large number of developers, builders and societies have already acquired land in the area as the land rates were expected to double in a year. DDA has started development of the land. Coming to his words, he invested Rs 50,000 in the society. But one of his relatives told negative things about the office bearers of the society. After that he went to the DDA office. Where it came to know that all the documents of the society are fake. After that he gave a complaint against them in the branch. During investigation it was found that the registration of the society was canceled by the Registrar of Societies. The DDA also informed that they have not given any license or approval for any housing project to the society under the land pooling policy in Dwarka.

Investigation also revealed that the accused had purchased the land at an inflated price. But the landowners were not paid as per the sale deed. The society bought the land for only Rs 45 crore out of Rs 100 crore and the rest was transferred by Neh to her mother’s company Aditya Realty Pvt Ltd. The accused showed in the accounts that the land was bought for Rs 75 crore, while in reality the owners of the land 45 crores was paid to After getting evidence, the team under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner MI Haider got information about the accused and arrested Dr. Neh Srivastava from Sector-9, Vaishali, Ghaziabad on Friday.

Voluntary retirement was taken after the case was registered
The Crime Branch probe found that the accused induced the buyers by showing them documents allegedly issued by the DDA under the land pooling policy. On this basis the buyers invested in the society. The president of the society, Neh Srivastava, was an Under Secretary to the Government of India, who took VRS after the FIR was lodged.
