hear the news
There is good news for railway passengers of North India. Now more and more trains will be able to run safely from Delhi to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Station on single and double line also. Not only this, trains will run safely at full speed from Mumbai to Delhi and beyond till Deen Dayal Upadhyay station.
In fact, Railways has completed the work of electronic interlocking instead of mechanical interlocking on the entire track (762 km) from Ghaziabad to Deendayal station. The track between Delhi-Ambala is also equipped with electronic interlocking. Along with this, the Railways is also doing fast track, fencing and construction work on the side of the track to run trains at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour between Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah.
With this, safe operation of trains at full speed will be possible on the track from Mumbai to Howrah. Railways is increasing the line capacity to run more trains on existing high density routes. Under this, mission mode work for Automatic Block Signaling (ABS) is underway. So far, 3,706 route kilometers have been equipped with ABS and 2,888 stations have so far been equipped with electronic interlocking instead of mechanical interlocking. It has also become the longest automatic block signaling section of the Railways.
what would be the advantage
Under this signaling system, now only the station master will set the route of all the trains and will control from there itself. For example, if there is a single rail line between Bathinda and Delhi, then only 40-50 trains can run in that section. But if it is double line and equipped with electronic signaling system, then unlimited trains will be able to run safely. The operation of trains will also be safe. Human resources will also reduce and mistakes will be reduced. If the speed of trains increases, more trains will be able to run on the track.
