Malviya Nagar police station of South district has arrested the accused who cheated by pretending to be National Party President and MP from Ballia, UP. The accused has been identified as Anoop Kumar Singh. The accused cheated the first wife to get married for the second time. He had obtained divorce from his wife by forging the signature of the judge. The police is probing how many people the accused has cheated so far.

According to South District Police officials, the woman, a resident of Sector-50 Noida, had given a complaint at the Malviya Nagar police station that she had met Anoop Kumar Singh in January 2015. The accused had described himself as the leader of the National Party.

After some time, the accused told him that the party had given him a Lok Sabha ticket from Ballia, UP and he would contest from his native village. After the elections, he started calling himself an MP. After some time he showed the divorce papers from the first wife to the victim.

After this he married the victim. It is alleged that the accused took Rs 10 lakh from the victim and started harassing her. Also, he had taken several checks from the victim. After some time the victim got a call. The caller told that her husband is not divorced. After this, the victim gave a complaint to the police. Police is engaged in investigation.
