After getting majority in MCD, the newly elected councilors of AAP are busy in getting their appointments on big posts. For this, they are orbiting the senior leaders, but the senior leaders of the party are not giving any assurance or indication of getting them the post. Not only this, senior leaders of AAP have now refused the councilors to come.
Most of the AAP councilors are fighting for the post of mayor and chairman of the standing committee. Leaders who were councilors from Congress and other parties before becoming councilors on AAP ticket for these posts are also included in rounds for these two posts. In fact, while inducting these leaders into the party, senior AAP leaders had assured them of important positions in the MCD. He joined AAP only after getting this assurance. Now those leaders are reminding the assurance to those senior leaders of AAP.
On the other hand, the leaders who became councilors of AAP cadre are also putting full force to become mayor and chairman of the standing committee. During the last five years, not only the corporator, but also the leader of the opposition, the leader is making his claim with more strength. He is giving arguments to senior party leaders that he has a lot of experience in MCD and is a loyal worker of the party. He will run the MCD better. Senior AAP leaders have started dissuading councilors from coming to stake claim for MCD posts. They are telling the councilors that the party is aware of all the councilors and the party itself will give the posts.
Because of this there is no need for them to worry. After this, the AAP councilors have now started camping at their bosses’ place and they are urging them to pressurize them to get the posts.
