1. At what time voting will start?
According to the Election Commission, votes will be cast for the MCD elections from 8 am to 5:30 pm.

2. What preparations has the Commission made for the voting?
The Election Commission has made a lot of preparations for Delhi MCD. Thirty thousand jawans have been deployed on the day of polling for the security of the elections. 3. How many people will vote in total?
According to the State Election Commission, the total number of voters in Delhi is 1,45,05,358, including 78,93,418 males, 66,10,879 females and 1,061 transgenders.

4. What is new in the election this time?
Earlier there were three municipal corporations in Delhi. After a recent delimitation exercise, the Election Commission merged North, South and East Delhi Municipal Corporations to form a unified MCD. This is the first election after the formation of an MCD. The integrated MCD came into existence from 22 May.

Apart from this, you can also check your name in the list by downloading the ‘Nigam Chunav Delhi’ app from the Play Store. For this, first open the app. In this, click on the first option Voter’s Search. Here you can check your name by filling your name, father’s name, ward number and assembly constituency. Apart from this, you can also check your name in the voter list by voter ID number.

If the name is not found in the voter list by personal information, then you can also search by the identity card number of your voter ID card. For this, you have to search by filling your state with Voter ID card number. Complete details will come in front of you.

You can also check your name in the voter list through SMS. For this, you can send your voter ID card number to 9211728082 or through SMS to 1950. If your name is in the voter list, then you will get information about the booth including your name. On the other hand, if your name is not in the list, you will get the message ‘No Record Found’.

6. How many polling booths were made?
Voting will be held at 13,638 polling stations for MCD elections and along with this 68 pink polling stations have also been set up for women. Arrangements have also been made for 68 model polling stations. 3360 booths have been declared sensitive at 493 places.

7. How to know about the candidates?
Even if you have not got the information about your candidates till now, you can know it in one click on your mobile. For this, you can get it with the help of Municipal Corporation Election App. For this click on Know You Candidate option. Select your assembly constituency and ward here. After this the list of all the candidates from your ward will appear.

8. How to know the location of the polling booth?
With the help of Nagar Nigam Election App, you can also know the location of your polling booth. For this, click on Locate Polling Station in the app. Select your assembly constituency and ward here. After this the list of all the polling stations of the ward will appear. You can check the location of your booth by clicking on it and can easily reach there with the help of Google Map.

9. How to cast vote if there is no voter card?

You can vote even if you do not have a voter ID card. However, it is necessary to have your name in the voter list. If your name is in the voter list, then you will be able to cast your vote by showing any one of the identity cards given below.

10. When will the results come?
According to the Election Commission, after voting on Sunday, the results of Delhi MCD will be declared on December 7.
