The data of about 60 percent of the people of the country will be kept safe in Yotta Data Center of Greater Noida. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the state’s first and country’s largest data center in Greater Noida on October 31. The first phase of the project has been completed in two years. People’s social media data will be kept safe in the data center equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Data storage and processing of the computer server to be built in Greater Noida will be easy. Data of crores of consumers of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc. will be kept safe in the data center. Along with this, the data of banking, business, healthcare, travel, tourism and Aadhaar etc. will also be safe in the center. On October 15, 2020, the authority had allotted 81 thousand square meters of land to Hiranandani Group in Knowledge Park-Five for about Rs 116 crore to set up a data centre.

The first tower of the data center was targeted to be commissioned in July 2022. It got delayed due to Kovid-19. Now the first tower of this data center is ready. Its capacity will be to store 30 MW data. There will be an investment of about seven thousand crores in the data center. About 1500 people will get employment directly and indirectly through this. Apart from this, the construction of two towers has been started in January 2022 and both these towers will have the capacity to store 30 MW data each. Both the towers will be ready by July 2024. While a total of six such towers will be built.

Data centers have a total capacity of 400 MW in the country.
The total capacity of data centers in the country at present is 400 MW. Out of this, the requirement of 180 MW will be met by this Yotta Data Center Park. The company chose Greater Noida under Invest UP to set up a data center in Uttar Pradesh.
