The way for nursery admission in 1700 private schools of Delhi in the academic session 2023-24 will be difficult. In the applications made in renowned schools, more than 12 children have staked their claim on each seat. This can be gauged from the number of applications made for nursery admission in private schools. Bal Bharti School located at Pusa Road has received 3200 applications for 276 seats in the general category. In this way, 12 children are competing with each other for each seat. In such a situation, it is certain that it is going to be difficult to get admission in reputed schools. The application process for entry-level admission in Delhi’s private schools, which began on December 1, ended on Friday night.

Due to online application in some schools, the application process continued till midnight on Monday. Due to the last day, there was more emphasis on submission of forms in private schools. The bigger problem faced by the parents was that some schools had asked to submit the print of the online application after submitting it to the school. LV Sehgal, principal of Bal Bharti School, Pusa Road, said that 3200 forms have been submitted to him for 276 general category seats.

Almost the same number of forms were submitted in the school last year also. Rohini-based Mount Abu School Principal Jyoti Arora said that around 1700 applications have been received for 120 general category seats. This is less than last year’s numbers. He said that now the form will be scrutinized as per the guidelines of the Directorate of Education and after that the list will be prepared. Vidya Bal Bhavan, Mayur Vihar, has 90 seats in the general category for nursery, for which 401 applications were received. Due to offline and online application process here, the online forms were submitted till midnight.

Now the first list will come on January 20
After the application process is over, now the schools will have to give the details of the application on the website by January 6. After this, the list will be released on January 13 with the marks given under the standards. The first list along with the waiting list for admission will be released on January 20. If any parent has any complaint or confusion regarding this list, then they can solve it by email and conversation in writing from 21st to 30th January.
