Seven students were injured in a clash between two groups at Delhi University on Thursday. As soon as the information about the fight was received, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the nearby Bada Hindu Rao Hospital. Police say that appropriate legal action will be taken on receiving a complaint in this matter.
A fight broke out between two groups (ABVP and Bhagat Singh Chhatra Ekta Group) in the evening at a tea stall near Patel Chest in DU. Among the injured, 5 students belong to Leftist group and 2 to ABVP. ABVP has given a complaint in this matter at Maurice Nagar police station. Bhagat Singh Student Unity Group says that campaign was being run in support of GN Saibaba. For this, they were campaigning in the North Campus. In the evening, a scuffle broke out at Patel Chest with students belonging to ABVP. Due to this some students got injured. The police is investigating the matter
On the other hand, ABVP says that outside anti-social elements made indecent and obscene remarks on the girl student. Casteist and gender discriminatory words were used for two other students who came to his rescue and were attacked with sticks. Due to this two workers were injured.
