Gorakhpur’s terracotta products are also famous in the India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The stalls of Gorakhpur’s terracotta craftsmen Akhilesh Chandra Prajapati and Lakshmi Chandra Prajapati are thronged by buyers. The special thing is that not only tourists from India and abroad are buying these products from here, but entrepreneurs from many states have also made advance bookings.

The India International Trade Fair has been organized from 14 to 27 November at Pragati Maidan. Akhilesh Chandra Prajapati from Gorakhpur Industry Department and Lakshmi Chandra Prajapati from Geo Graphical Indicator Department have participated. The artefacts of this special clay art are attracting a lot of people in the fair.

There are many decorative artifacts like elephant, horse, table, lantern, chandelier. But, the most attraction in this is the statue of Lord Ganesha about two and a half feet high. A similar statue was presented by Akhilesh to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Advance booking done by traders of many states
Akhilesh told that by the way most of the goods have been sold before Diwali. Only the remaining goods have been brought here. Even after this, a large number of people are buying it. At the same time, many traders from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan have made advance bookings. These traders have to deliver goods in February.
